DERMA E Scar Gel with Panthenol and Allantoin to help soften skin and diminish the look of scars

7 Ways to Use DERMA E Scar Gel

7 July 2020

7 Simple DERMA E Scar Gel Hacks You Need to Know

DERMA E Scar Gel is designed to help improve the appearance of scars while nourishing and hydrating the skin. But did you know this versatile gel can be used for more than just scars? From rough heels and calluses to acne marks and stretch marks, discover seven simple ways to incorporate DERMA E Scar Gel into your skincare routine.

1. Soften Rough Feet and Heels

Give dry, rough feet some extra care. Start by gently buffing your feet with a pumice stone while showering. After drying your feet, apply a generous amount of scar gel to rough heels and callused areas.

Once the gel has absorbed, put on a pair of thick, warm socks and wear them overnight. This helps lock in moisture while you sleep, leaving feet feeling softer and smoother.

For best results, repeat this routine consistently for several days.

2. Help Soften Calluses

Calluses can appear on areas such as the knees, elbows, hands and feet.  Scar Gel can help moisturise and soften rough, dry skin.

Simply apply the gel to the affected area and massage it into the skin. With regular use, rough areas can feel softer and smoother.

3. Soothe the Appearance of Minor Burns

Minor burns can happen easily, whether from the sun, a styling tool or a kitchen accident. Always cool a minor burn with cool running water or a cold compress first.

Once the skin has cooled, a nourishing scar gel may help support the skin’s moisture levels. DERMA E Scar Gel can also be used on the appearance of existing scars once the skin has healed.

Important: Do not apply scar gel to open wounds or fresh burns.

4. Help Improve the Appearance of Acne Scars

Apply to clean skin to help improve the appearance of scars and marks. Apply the gel before your moisturiser and allow it to absorb.

For an enhanced skincare routine, use Microdermabrasion Scrub one to two times per week, followed by your daily application of Scar Gel. Always follow product directions and avoid over-exfoliating the skin.

5. Care for the Appearance of Minor Scrapes and Scars

Children are naturally active, and minor bumps and scrapes are part of everyday adventures. Once the skin has completely healed, Scar Gel can be used to help moisturise the area and improve the appearance of existing scars.

Always avoid applying the product to open wounds or broken skin.

6. Help Calm the Appearance of Post-Waxing Irritation

Waxing can sometimes leave skin feeling sensitive, dry or irritated. DERMA E Scar Gel can help provide lightweight moisture and support the appearance of delicate skin after waxing.

Apply only to clean, intact skin and avoid using the product on broken or severely irritated areas.

7. Help Improve the Appearance of Stretch Marks

Stretch marks can occur when the skin stretches rapidly, including during pregnancy, weight changes and growth. Regularly moisturising the skin can help support its softness and suppleness.

DERMA E Scar Gel can be applied to the appearance of existing stretch marks and scars, including C-section scars once fully healed. For pregnancy, always check that products are suitable for your individual needs and speak with your healthcare professional if you have any concerns.
