We recognize our responsibility to our community, customers and our environment which is why we refuse to use over 2,500 ingredients that are harmful to either our person or environment. Our refuse to use list has grown over the past 35 years. At just over 2,500, we ban more than 1,100 additional chemicals not banned by EU law. We pride ourselves on being always soy free, cruelty free, GMO free, gluten free, sulphate, paraben, petrolatum, mineral oil, and artificial color free

Sustainability Efforts

Here at DERMA E, we are very passionate about living a sustainable lifestyle and making constant improvements in this area. Currently, all our packaging (except for our foil packs) is 100% recyclable and our facial wipes are 100% biodegradable. We do our best to avoid fancy frills or added decoration that builds up in landfills, taking years to decompose. We also only use safe and renewable resources for our products to promote a healthier ecological future

Positive Energy

For over the past ten years, DERMA E’s facilities have been manufacturing wind power and working on reducing our environmental impact by offsetting 100% of the conventional electricity we use with the help of wind energy certificates. This measure supports our continuing effort to completely offset carbon dioxide emissions and greenhouse gasses

Reef Safe

DERMA E currently offers reef safe sunscreens products made with non-nano, chemical-free, mineral Zinc Oxide which has been tested to be a superior natural skincare ingredient. Our Ultra Sheer Mineral Body Sunscreen Mist SPF 30, Sun Defense Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 Body, Sun-Defense Mineral Oil Free Sunscreen Baby, and Sun Defense Mineral Oil-Free Sunscreen Face are all reef safe

Closing the Loop
To effectively keep our environmental footprint at a minimum, DERMA E has been manufacturing with wind power for over a decade, offsetting 100% of conventional electricity use. In the coming years, DERMA E is committing to 100% sustainable packaging at retail and continued research on 100% PCR plastic alternatives, ultimately closing the loop on single-use plastics. When it is necessary to use plastic, DERMA E sources only 100% recyclable plastic and are now actively researching (PCR) post-consumer recyclable plastic alternatives
