Vitamin E
Naturally present in the skin, Vitamin E has long been used in clinical dermatology to help manage conditions such as eczema, atopic dermatitis, superficial burns, cutaneous ulcers and other inflammatory skin concerns (Panin, Strumia & Ursini, 2004). Applied topically, Vitamin E cream deeply moisturises and supports overall skin health.
A key role of the epidermis is its barrier function, a waterproof seal that locks moisture into the skin and prevents excess evaporation. Ageing and environmental stress (harsh weather, pollution, air-conditioning) gradually weaken this barrier, allowing water loss and leading to dry, tight skin.
Derma E’s high-potency Vitamin E 12,000 IU Cream is formulated to reinforce the skin barrier, seal in hydration and prevent dehydration. Rich in antioxidants, it delivers an intensive moisture boost that leaves even sensitive skin feeling soft, calm and resilient.
What the numbers mean
-
Below 10 000 IU – gentle daily maintenance; good for very lightweight textures.
-
10 000–20 000 IU – mid-range (Derma E sits here); balances efficacy with wearability for face and body.
-
>20 000 IU – intensive “treatment” creams; thicker feel, better suited to spot-treating rough patches or overnight use.
Derma E’s 12 000 IU cream offers high-end daily potency without the heavy occlusive finish typical of the 25 000 – 40 000 IU category, making it a sweet spot for users who want noticeable antioxidant and barrier support but still need a fast-absorbing, make-up-friendly moisturiser with all the benefits of the best natural skincare.
